Statistical Machine Learning and Bioinformatics
The group develops machine-learning methods for statistical data mining, information visualization, and exploratory data analysis. The group's main application focus is bioinformatics and it develops methods for solving research problems along with collaborators in the application area. Methodological foci include probabilistic data fusion, in other words, modelling mutual dependencies to integrate multiple data sets.
