³The concept of attention is mainly elaborated in later chapters, but anticipating them, I need to point out that interrupts are closely related to a specific kind of attention which is bottom-up attention, see footnote 16 in Chapter 10. I don’t elaborate the connection between attention and interrupts here, and I use the word “attention” casually, in its everyday meaning.
