About Ikayaki
About
Ikayaki is a controller / user interface software designed to be used with a SQUID magnetometer (Superconducting QUantum Interference Device) at the Department of Geophysics of the University of Helsinki.
The SQUID magnetometer is used to measure magnetism of rocks and pieces of meteorites collected from various locations.
Ikayaki was designed to be used in all phases when taking measurements with SQUID magnetometer. It provides methods for preprogramming all the wanted measurement sequences and ways for analysing the measured data and saving/printing the data in various formats.
Ikayaki controls the following hardware, manufactured by 2G Enterprises (www.2genterprises.com)
- - Superconducting Rock Magnetometer, MODEL 755R, MODEL 760R
- - Automated Sample Handler System, MODEL 2G800
- - Automatic Sample Degaussing System, MODEL 2G600
