Hallo l-k,

I have had problems with the 2.5.31 _vanilla_ kernel: When I trying log
in in the next day, then take very long time (about 5s), while console
wake up...

I has seen some oopses in the log, too:

ksymoops 2.4.6 on i686 2.5.31. Options used
-V (default)
-k /proc/ksyms (default)
-l /proc/modules (default)
-o /lib/modules/2.5.31/ (default)
-m /boot/System.map-2.5.31 (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

No modules in ksyms, skipping objects
Warning (read_lsmod): no symbols in lsmod, is /proc/modules a valid lsmod file?

3 warnings issued. Results may not be reliable.

And last problem: I cannot load modules into the kernel anymore. I've
got this message:

# modprobe snd-intel8x0
insmod: kernel: QM_SYMBOLS: Bad address
insmod: insmod /lib/modules/2.5.31/kernel/sound/core/snd-rawmidi.o
failed
insmod: insmod snd-intel8x0 failed

My .config is in the attachment.

Sincerely,
Jan Marek
