kernel 2.4.18 exception/bug during cd read operation

I have scsi emulation (for ide cd-rw drive) and supermount is enabled.
I am using the ext3 filesystem. The kernel gave an error message after it
failed to copy a file from a cd-r media onto the hard disk. This problem
occured only for that particular cd-r media. Other cd's were read just
fine. Fortunately, there was no system crash.

The interesting part of the error message is :
