I wanted to build 2.4.12 on i386 but got an error:
#make dep bzImage
works without an error
then
#make modules
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.12/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=k6 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.12/include/linux/modversions.h -c -o ieee1284_ops.o ieee1284_ops.c

I get the same problem if I didn't use PARPORT as module.
The file changelog tells me something changed:
drivers/parport/ieee1284_ops.c | 10
What is the problem?
Thank you.
