Starting the game:

Windows:

Edit run.bat and set the first parameter DIR to point to the directory where 
you installed game files.

E.g. set DIR=\\group\sailboat\latest points to group directory (default).

Linux:

Use run.sh. No editing is needed.


Supported platforms:

Windows

Linux
- works if opengl support is installed



In-game controls:

Sail
  down arrow tightens sail (brings it near the boat)
  up arrow loosens sail

Rudder
  left/right arrows steer the boat

Chat messages
  't' starts typing

Debug screen
  'd' for testing purposes only



Multiplayer:

In order to play over internet, the following ports must be opened
(and forwarded if you are behind NAT):

TCP 12345
UDP 12346



Command line parameters (edit run.bat or run.sh):

-mode=800x600x16@60

Resolution 800x600, 16 bits per pixel at 60 Hz refresh rate.
Experiment different values on very slow systems.

If omitted, uses windowing system resolution (default).


-fpslimit=40

Limits frames per second to 40 fps. If omitted, uses display driver
default limit. Default limit can be turned off for testing purposes:  
search for "Vertical sync" or "vsync" option and turn it off.

Default is display driver default limit.


-dir=somedir

Working directory for searching textures etc. Default is '.'.
