PIANOS : Probabilistic Inference ANd Other Stuff
This is the homepage of a Software Engineering project by a group of research-oriented students at the department of Computer Science, University of Helsinki. The project was completed during the summer 2005.
An excerpt from the PIANOS user manual: The program analyzes spatial data by using prior distributions and a semi-Bayesian model to calculate the posterior distributions for a set of variables. The program is limited to small set of possible problems. There are limitations to the models and distributions that can be used. The key feature is the possibility to use spatial relations in the calculations.
