If your computer already has a driver for your palm device or you have installed one before Hardware Update Wizard will not pop up when you connect your Palm to your computer. Not to worry! Make sure your palm is powered on and connected to USB port.
Next open Control Panel and double click System. Go to hardware tab and open Device manager.
Check whether there is either Palm OS Devices or LibUSB-Win-32 devices. If the latter is listed SBS Palm driver is already installed and you don't have to do anything. If the list has Palm OS Devices you have to install SBS driver "over" it.
Right click on Palm Handheld and select Update driver. Hardware update wizard should materialize and you can continue according to previous instructions.
If neither LibUSB-Win32 devices Or Palm OS Devices look for unknown USB devices and try the procedure described for Palm OS Devices.
