Welcome to the DaCoPAn2 Software Engineering Project

DaCoPAn stands for visualization of Data Communication Protocol through Animation.

DaCoPAn2 is a Software Engineering Project that aims to improve upon the visualization tool (DaCoPAn Animator) produced by the first DaCoPAn project. The development work is mainly focused on the MSC and TSC animation views. The main focus of the Animator tool is to help educators illustrate the basic functions of a data communication protocol. This is to be done by animating the key aspects of protocol exchanges, using the different animation views (ENC, MSC, TSC and UFO). The DaCoPAn Animator tool also allows educators to build their own protocol exchanges (Scenario Files) to highlight whichever aspects of protocols they deem necessary for maximizing student learning.
