The Guest Network at the CS Department
Since our relocation to the Exactum building, connecting private laptops to the CS Department network is no longer allowed.The Public Network of the IT Department
There is an alternative way to connect a private laptop to the network. The IT Department has a public, authenticating network (HUPnet, Helsinki University Public network). What you need is a laptop, a network interface card, and some initiative. You access the network with your IT Department user id and password. The SSID of wireless HUPnet is "Univ Helsinki HUPnet". Please see the IT Department's WWW pages for more information. The CS Department's maintenance doesn't support HUPnet users.
