Bioinformatics, algorithms for sequence assembly

We are looking for a summer trainee interested in bioinformatics and in particular algorithms for sequence analysis. In collaboration with biologists we are working on the problem of recostructing the genome of an organism based on sequencing data. We have developed combinatorial algorithms for several challenging subproblems of the sequence assembly problem. As a summer trainee you will work on new algorithms for sequence assembly. The project requires programming skills.
