SQL- database language
Introduction to SQL and Database definition in SQL
All the relational database management systems, in practice, use SQL language as the main interface for database processing.
All operations on the database may be done in SQL. These include
user management,
database definition, and
querying and maintaining the database.
SQL is a standardized language, and the standard is followed quite well, although there are some differences in the various SQL implementations.
Database management systems may provide SQL in many forms. It may be provided as
an interactive command and query language, and/or as
a languge to be used as embedded in programs written in some programming language.
