The essentials
- The Webmail offers you access to your university e-mail account via browser. Using the university mail address is recommended for all university-related purposes. You can redirect mail from webmail using filters. If you choose to use webmail, make sure to set your sender name to your full name and from-address to your firstname.lastname@helsinki.fi -address (Options > Personal Information)
- Weboodi is system managing your study and personal information. It is also used for course registration in almost every department.
- Alma is the university intranet. It is generally not very useful, but it does contain the Netmot collection of online dictionaries.
- The Department of Mathematics and Statistics homepage has all the useful information about studying mathematics. Course pages link directly to registration.
- IT Department homepage has more information about university IT systems. See especially the freshmen pages.

- Netstorage for transfering files between home computer and university home folder.
- Software distribution service offers free software for personal use, for example virus protection.

- Libraries (Helka is the library database search).
- Mainari offers e-mail address search, but results are only in Finnish

Other useful things
- Unicafe is the chain offering cheap lunches at campuses. See webpage for restaurant locations and menus.
- Journey planner helps when using Helsinki public transport. A version for cycling is also available.
- Google Maps can also be used.
