2.3.99-pre7-1 freeze

Froze during a bonnie run (with X and half a dozen other progs running).
Keyboard and mouse died, but HD seemed to be doing very ocasional IO.
Nothing in the logs.

I manually applied Rik's semicolon fix.

Seems that the best kernels so far have been 2.3.51 or so :-((((
